Preparing Your Land

Power

You need to get power to the property. Usually, a power company representative will meet with you at your property and will provide you with a detailed outline of costs, time frames and installation options. It is recommended that you apply for electrical service at least seven weeks before construction. Remember that power tools need power.

Acquiring a Physical Address

This process can vary. In some areas the power company assigns a new address but sometimes the town or city does this. If neither can assign an address in your area, go to the post office in the area. You will need to install some type of mailbox on your property.

Site Access

We will need good access to your land. Are there trees obstructing access? How about ditches or other obstructions? These and more factors can add cost to the construction process.

Preparing your Site

Its best to meet with a Neatherlin Sales Associate first. We may walk your land with you to predetermine things that will delay or add costs to the construction. Cut the grass and remove any debris that may prevent good access to your site.
